A BIT OF STORY ON THIS GENERATION OF BMW M3



The BMW M3 is one of the best sports cars in the world. The E92 M3 is the fourth generation M3, and as the E46 variant, is for many the pinnacle, benefiting from a revolutionary V8 naturally aspirated engine inspired from the F1 and reving as high as 8,300 rpm, which creates an incredible racing sound before each gear change. Although it replaced the epochal in-line 6-cylinder engine that had been so popular with fans for the previous 15 years, the V-shaped eight-cylinder was a winner right from the start. With a displacement of four litres, an output of 309 kW (420 hp) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, its phenomenal stats stood out, even on paper. Another visual highlight of the fourth-generation BMW M3 is the particularly pronounced power dome on its bonnet. As well as giving the sports car a muscular appearance, its striking shape has a tangible purpose: to accommodate the eight-cylinder engine powering the BMW M3.

As is typical for BMW M, the V8 engine features numerous technologies such as double VANOS, individual throttle valves and powerful engine electronics. At the same time, the number of cylinders, the M high-rev concept and the low weight of only 202 kilograms indicate that the M engineers were inspired by the BMW Sauber Formula 1 team’s eight-cylinder engine. And that's not all: the engine block was even produced in the Landshut light metal foundry, where the BMW Sauber Formula 1 engines were also manufactured. Altogether, this delivered tangible results: the M3 Coupé with M DKG transmission accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The M dual-clutch transmission with Drivelogic launched in 2008 illustrates the interaction of modern software and precise mechanics particularly well: the newly developed M DKG transmission featured seven gears

.THE CAR FOR SALE



This E92 BMW M3 Competition Package and Carbon Package is a mint example in Alpinweiss. It is from August 2012 and was bought from an official BMW Dealer in Saarlouis (Germany) in 2015 as a BMW Premium Selection car fleet with 2 years factory guarantee (A pre-owned vehicle with the BMW Premium Selection certificate is a car that has undergone a rigorous inspection in BMW 360° vehicle check. Only vehicles that meet all the precisely defined product standards are certified as BMW Premium Selection). I am therefore the second owner.

The car has just crossed the 100,000km bar. It is in mint condition (both interior and exterior). It has never made any racetrack and has always been serviced at BMW Kontz / Bilia Luxembourg (one of the largest BMW dealers in Europe) with full history and all maintenance invoices available (the car is very well known at Bilia Luxembourg).

There is nothing to do.. The BMW CSL 19 inches summer wheels that came with the Competition Packgage have recently been refurbished in full and the car has brand new tires (Michelin SuportSport PS PS2 (BMW*)). The discs and pads have also been recently changed and I'm delivering the car fully serviced (engine oil changed and fully checked-up). As other options, the interior has recently been detailed and the leather feels brand new. The car has a full ceramic coat protection. It is a YOUNG TIMER, CARED WITH LOVE AND PASSION! A COLLECTORS ITEM!!! THERE IS NO OTHER SPECIMEN LIKE THIS IN LUXEMBOURG!!!
