In 1999 maakte de eerste Porsche 911 GT3 zijn debuut op de autosalon van Genève. Deze auto luidde een nieuw hoofdstuk in binnen de geschiedenis van de 911: een racewagen, gehomologeerd voor de openbare weg, en een waardige opvolger van de legendarische Carrera RS-modellen.

Afgeleid van de 911 GT1-racewagen was de GT3 de eerste straatlegale Porsche die de Nordschleife van de Nürburgring in minder dan acht minuten wist te ronden — met achter het stuur niemand minder dan rallylegende en Porsche-ambassadeur Walter Röhrl. Met lichtgewicht materialen, instelbare vering en een geavanceerd remsysteem was het een droom voor puristen, zowel op het circuit als op de openbare weg.

Deze auto

Deze 997.2 GT3 is in 2010 nieuw geleverd in Duitsland en in 2014 aangekocht door de laatste eigenaar, van wie wij de auto recent hebben overgenomen.

In basis betreft dit een 997.2 GT3 met het felbegeerde Clubsport-pakket. In 2014 werd de auto, op verzoek van de laatste eigenaar, door de dealer aangepast naar GT3 Cup-specificaties. Zo werden onder andere de Porsche Motorsport in- en uitlaat van de GT3 Cup gemonteerd, evenals de achterklep met een RS-achtervleugel. Dat zorgt niet alleen voor een unieke uitstraling en verbeterde prestaties, maar ook voor een geluid waar je gegarandeerd kippenvel van krijgt. Het resultaat is, naar onze mening, misschien wel de ultieme Porsche 911: de laatste écht analoge GT3 met de befaamde Mezger-motor en handbak — met de dagelijkse bruikbaarheid van een GT3 en de uitstraling en prestaties van een GT3 Cup-raceauto.

Exterieur

De auto staat volledig in de eerste lak. De lak is in goede staat met minimale imperfecties, passend bij de leeftijd en de kilometerstand van de auto. De 19” centerlock wielen zijn in nieuwstaat en voorzien van Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 banden met goed profiel (DOT 2021).

Interieur

Het interieur verkeert vrijwel in nieuwstaat met nauwelijks gebruikssporen, behoudens 2 herstelde kleine beschadigingen op de zitting van de bijrijdersstoel.

Techniek

De auto is uitstekend onderhouden door uitsluitend Porsche specialisten. Alle onderhoudsfacturen vanaf 2014 zijn aanwezig. De laatste onderhoudsbeurt is uitgevoerd in september 2025 door Porsche specialist Visser uit Hilversum. Hierbij zijn onder andere de volgende werkzaamheden zijn uitgevoerd:

• Grote onderhoudsbeurt
• Motorolie en alle filters vervangen
• Bougies vervangen
• Remolie vervangen
• APK keuring
• Uitlijning

Deze 997.2 GT3 combineert het beste van twee werelden: de rauwe, analoge beleving van de laatste handgeschakelde GT3 met uitstraling en prestaties van de GT3 Cup raceauto. Met de betrouwbare Mezger-motor en zorgvuldig uitgevoerde modificaties is dit exemplaar een uniek meesterwerk voor de echte liefhebber.

In 1999, the first Porsche 911 GT3 made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. This car heralded a new chapter in 911 history: a road-legal racing car and a worthy successor to the legendary Carrera RS models.

Derived from the 911 GT1 race car, the GT3 was the first road-legal Porsche to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes—with none other than rally legend and Porsche ambassador Walter Röhrl behind the wheel. Featuring lightweight materials, adjustable suspension, and an advanced braking system, it was a purist's dream, both on the racetrack and on the road.

This car

This 997.2 GT3 was delivered new in Germany in 2010 and purchased in 2014 by its last owner, from whom we recently acquired the car.

Basically, this is a 997.2 GT3 with the coveted Clubsport package. In 2014, at the request of the last owner, the dealer modified the car to GT3 Cup specifications. Among other things, the Porsche Motorsport intake and exhaust from the GT3 Cup were installed, as well as the rear hatch with an RS rear wing. This not only creates a unique look and improved performance, but also a sound guaranteed to give you goosebumps. The result, in our opinion, is perhaps the ultimate Porsche 911: the last truly analog GT3 with the renowned Mezger engine and manual transmission—with the everyday usability of a GT3 and the look and performance of a GT3 Cup race car.

Exterior

The car has its original paint. The paint is in good condition with minimal imperfections, commensurate with the car's age and mileage. The 19" center lock wheels are in mint condition and fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires with good tread (DOT 2021).

Interior

The interior is virtually in mint condition with hardly any signs of wear, except for two repaired minor blemishes on the passenger seat.

Technology

The car has been excellently maintained exclusively by Porsche specialists. All maintenance invoices from 2014 onwards are available. The last service was carried out in September 2025 by Porsche specialist Visser from Hilversum. This included the following work:

• Periodic vehicle inspection (MOT)
