We are pleased to offer this rare Lotus Esprit Series 3 (Type 82), delivered on November 7, 1985.


Produced between 1981 and 1987, this version is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine producing 163 hp. It still delivers very respectable performance today, with 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 222 km/h. Fuel is supplied by Dell’Orto 45 carburetors.


With a light weight of approximately 1,150 kg and a perfectly balanced mid-engine layout, this Lotus is known for its sharp and agile handling. It corners flat and delivers driving sensations comparable to those of a large go-kart.


Our example was serviced in March 2026. A major mechanical service was also carried out in 2019 by a Lotus specialist for more than €7,000. The five-digit odometer currently shows 43,500 km.


The bodywork is in very good overall condition, with only a few minor stone chips, mainly at the front. The chassis is solid and free from corrosion.


The interior is also in excellent condition. The upholstery has been custom-made and presents beautifully.


With its timeless design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Lotus Esprit S3 is a rare car, with only 1,053 examples produced. It offers a very engaging driving experience without the need to drive at high speeds. Maintenance costs remain reasonable and the engine is known for its reliability.
