1989 XR3i for sale in azure Blue.
50.500 original miles (80.800kms) the car is located in Menorca island (Spain) with spanish historical plates. It started life as a diamond white 1989 (mfi zolda interior). I bought
it from the second owner. Cherised car that i was looking for to be used as a perfect example to replicate the car that Pierce Brosnan drove in the 1987 movie The Fourth Protocol.
Ford only made two cars for the movie in this color, apparently none of them exhist today. Azure blue was available from 1986 till 1989 only in mk4 XR3i cabriolets, so that two cars made for the movie were unique.
I have a complete album of pics of the project from dissasembly to the final build up after complete repaint in correct Ford Azure blue.
The wheels havent been restored and are in its original perfect color from factory.
This 3i has power windows, central locks, original factory installed sunroof, original alloy wheels and pop up side windows.
All the panels are original and rust free, nothing has been welded. The interior, seats and door handles show the low mileage.
I put new koni gas shocks, new steering rack, new factory correct exhaust and the cambelt change was made too.
New original period correct Ford emblems, DMB correct decals and Nos (very hard to find) bumper and side mouldings with black inserts correct for azure blue and red 3i's.
The car starts and run perfectly.
A unique oportunity to own a beautiful made replica of a unique car of Ford and movie history.
