HistoryDelivered new in 2003, this example is among the very last Vantage Volantes produced. It is also exceptionally rare with its 6 speed manual transmission. Out of a total of 2059 Vantage Volantes built, 94 percent were automatic and only 6 percent were manual, representing just 125 cars in total.
The exterior is finished in a special ordered Silver Birch, the legendary Aston Martin shade made famous by the DB5 that appeared in the James Bond films of the nineteen sixties.
This car benefits from desirable upgrades that bring it closer to the specification of the Vantage Volante GT including 19 inch wheels, a mesh front grille, bonnet vents, white instrument dials, an aluminium gear knob and GT specification brake discs. It is worth noting that Aston Martin never produced a DB7 Volante GT, which makes this configuration particularly unique.
The car was delivered new in the United States and was later purchased by a senior officer in the Royal Air Force. When this owner relocated to Dubai the car followed, with servicing and maintenance carried out by Aston Martin Dubai, fully documented with invoices. Upon its return to England it was offered for sale and our client purchased the car in the autumn of 2018.
