Fabricado en Reino Unido y entregado originalmente en Lisboa, Portugal. Se conserva la documentación original portuguesa.

Vehículo histórico. Ya ha pasado su última ITV y, por su antigüedad y clasificación, no tendrá que volver a pasarla.

RESTAURACIÓN Y MECÁNICA

• Completamente restaurado en 2019.
• Motor y caja de cambios originales.
• Se considera matching numbers. En estos coches no existe un registro de números como puede ocurrir, por ejemplo en otras marcas, pero un especialista ha podido comprobar que el bloque corresponde a un Cooper 998 de su época.
• En 2024 se reconstruyeron completamente el motor y la caja de cambios, ya que el trabajo realizado durante la primera restauración no había quedado correctamente ejecutado.
• Desde la reconstrucción del motor y la caja se han realizado aproximadamente 6.500 km.
• Motor preparado buscando mejores prestaciones sin sacrificar fiabilidad: pistones de cabeza plana, culata rebajada y trabajada, árbol de levas cruzado, etc.
• No consume aceite y mantiene una presión de aceite perfecta.
• Doble carburación SU HS2 original funcionando perfectamente.
• Filtro de aire original.
• Suspensión Hydrolastic original, revisada, en perfecto estado y sin pérdidas.
• Radiador de agua de aluminio pintado en negro para mantener la estética original.

Registered as a historic vehicle. It has already passed its final roadworthiness inspection and, due to its age and historic classification, it will not be required to undergo any further inspections.

RESTORATION AND MECHANICAL CONDITION

• Considered to be matching numbers. These cars do not have a factory number-matching registry in the same way as some other marques, but a Mini specialist has confirmed that the engine block is correct for a Cooper 998 of this period.
• In 2024, the engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt, as the work carried out during the initial restoration had not been completed to the required standard.
• Approximately 6,500 km have been covered since the engine and gearbox rebuild.
• The engine has been upgraded for improved performance without compromising reliability: flat-top pistons, skimmed and ported cylinder head, performance camshaft, etc.
• No oil consumption and excellent oil pressure.
• Original twin SU HS2 carburettors, working perfectly.
• Original air filter.
• Original Hydrolastic suspension, fully checked, in perfect working order and with no leaks.
• Aluminium water radiator painted black to retain the original appearance.
